Today, employees spend 80% of their time engaging1 with co-workers, yet many still share documents via email and relatively few co-author documents in real time.

There’s a tremendous opportunity to boost productivity in organisations with modern workplace tools that streamline collaboration. In fact, with small businesses increasingly relying on non-traditional employees and remote workers, it’s essential to embrace new teamwork tools to remain competitive.

There are risks, however. With employees accessing unsanctioned applications, dozens of ways to share files, and multiple communication channels, the modern workplace presents many challenges for teamwork.

The good news is that Microsoft has the solution – As the hub for teamwork in Office 365, Microsoft Teams brings all of your employees’ collaboration tools together in one place, making it easier for people to work together and reach their goals more rapidly, whether you have 3 employees or 3,000.

With Teams, you can give your team built-in access to everything they need right in Office 365. Manage all your conversations, files and tools in one workspace. Enjoy instant access to SharePoint, OneNote, Planner and Power BI. Create and edit documents right in Microsoft Teams. Speed up employee onboarding with persistent conversations and instant access to files. Search across people, files, and chats within one hub for teamwork. The list goes on…

Size doesn’t matter

A growing number of Ordyss clients, and Ordyss itself, are using Microsoft Teams to conduct team meetings, share documents and generally enhance collaboration. Tourism & Events Queensland is one such client and used Teams to host one of the largest industry gatherings in Queensland’s tourism history.

On 15 May 2020, during wide-spread COVID lock-downs, 1,830 attendees joined this Microsoft Teams Live Event which ran for over an hour without a hitch. No special hardware was purchased, and as we witnessed with the outstanding success of this live event, size is proving no impediment.

If you’re interested in trialling the many communication and collaboration features of Microsoft Teams for your own business, we’d love to be of service. You may already be licensed for Teams but not yet taking advantage of the full functionality.

Wherever you are in your Teams adoption journey, Ordyss in partnership with Microsoft can assist with a range of useful resources. Call or email Ordyss today and one of our friendly team will be in touch.
