Successful candidates will possess strong attention-to-detail, highly developed problem solving and troubleshooting abilities and display initiative and flexibility.

Our Service Desk team communicate with computer users at all levels of our clients’ businesses, and users of widely varying skill levels. Patience, and an ability to communicate technical concepts and terms in friendly easy-to-understand language, is therefore essential.

Ideally, successful candidates will bring a working knowledge of the following:

  • Microsoft Server and Desktop products
  • Office 365 environment
  • Active Directory & Exchange access management
  • Citrix hosted desktop environments
  • Desktop hardware configuring & troubleshooting

The following experience is also viewed advantageously:

  • A history of outstanding performance in customer service roles
  • Previous experience in a Managed Services environment
  • Working knowledge of ticketing systems, SLA’s and Priority Incident Management
  • An understanding of ITIL, best-practice service delivery, operations and processes

As a Managed Services business working across leading cloud technologies, Ordyss is always looking for capable ‘generalist’ ICT engineers with cloud capabilities.

A large focus of our role in Managed Services is the continual improvement and enhancement of our clients’ environments, both cloud and traditional on-premise. As a result, technical innovation, digital transformation and ongoing optimization initiatives are always in flight across our client base and form part of our commitment to technical excellence.

Whether it’s joining our Projects Services team on cloud solutions design, migrations and implementations, or joining our team of skilled Systems Administrators, Ordyss is constantly seeking talented ICT professionals to join its ranks.

About You

Ordyss seeks professional systems engineers with a passion for leading cloud solutions and strong well-rounded experience across a range of technologies. Successful candidates will bring working experience across a range of corporate IT systems including but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Windows and Office 365 deployments.

Complementing wide-ranging technical capabilities, you will demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication (both written and verbal), strong commercial acumen and a collaborative team-focussed mindset. You will be confident to work autonomously, grasp new technologies quickly and evidence an unrivalled commitment to technical and professional excellence.

Successful candidates will ideally bring:

  • 3+ years Systems Administration and/or ICT Projects experience, preferably within a Managed Services environment
  • Certifications or equivalent experience across one or more of the following:
    • Microsoft Office 365 (Advanced Threat Protection, Cloud App Security, Licensing)
    • Microsoft Azure (Solutions Architect, Administrator, Fundamentals);
    • AWS (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Cloud Practitioner);
    • Hyper converged solutions (Nutanix)
  • Strong generalist experience across Windows, Linux, Virtualisation, RDS, Backup and Anti-Virus technologies, Networking, Hardware (SANs, Servers, Switches, Routers, Telephony etc.)
  • ITIL certification and/or working experience highly advantageous
  • Working knowledge and experience with project management frameworks (Prince, Agile, PMBOK etc.) highly regarded
  • Outstanding time management skills, meticulous attention-to-detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Energy, integrity, reliability and emotional intelligence
